Features | Axial-tech fan design has been enhanced with more fan blades and a new rotation scheme. Dual ball fan bearings can last up to twice as long as sleeve bearing designs. An all-aluminum shroud, reinforced frame, and metal backplate enhance durability. MaxContact heat spreader features a super flat surface for improved thermal transfer. A 144-hour validation program puts cards through a series of stringent tests to ensure compatibility with the latest games. A vented backplate prevents hot air from recirculating through the cooling array. GPU Tweak II provides intuitive performance tweaking, thermal controls, and system monitoring. |

Pros: - Great Overclocking - Great Thermals - Quiet - Aura Sync works will with Corsair iCUE - Currently the cheapest RX6800XT you can find - Doesn't require a 3rd power connector
Cons: - Almost twice the cost of reference card - Size, this card is massive - Lack of USB-C output might hurt in the future IDK?
Overall Review: This card is an upgrade from my 4 yr old GTX1080. It is probably overkill for 1440p gaming, but I am looking to move up to 4k. It is extremely quite as the fan hardly ever run, but when they do I can't hear them over my AIO. Temperatures rarely break 60c unless I am benchmarking. The card has minimal styling, giving it a profession or almost industrial feel. The rgb lighting is also very modest, but syncs well with corsair iCUE software. The card is huge. 310mm and takes almost 3 expansion slot (not the card to pick if you want to crossfire). I have an O11D XL so was not a problem for me, but definitely check your clearances before you buy.
Pros: This card is an absolute beast! I run it stock and during gaming, core clocks are consistently 2300-2450 MHz and temps stay below 70, usually closer to 65 in my Corsair 275r Airflow. With a 3700x I can run AC Valhalla average 91fps at 1440p max settings and warzone around 120-150
Cons: Pricing is expensive due to tarrifs and some probable AIB price hiking due to demand
Overall Review: If you can get it through the shuffle it's absolutely worth it for gaming
Pros: Excellent performance (4k 100FPS in most games for me) Cooler is beefy and can take a lot of heat. Above average clock speed. Quiet Overclocking head room No GPU sag.
Cons: Price is high but then again the same can be said of all cards, this cheapest AIB 6800xt I found at MSRP and directly on newegg was around 1200.
Overall Review: So far it is has been a dream and right now the 6800XT cards perform maybe 2% slower at 4k than a 3080. This card has been pulling down around 2.5ghz core clock speeds just with its own settings. Most my games run at around 120FPS (max refresh at 4k) Follow up: 12/5 Both good and bad news. The good: After a several updates to the drivers the card has become considerably faster than before. It now beats a 3080 at 4k. The bad: Originally I had stated there was an issue with the clocks causing crashes. This actually seems to be due to the usage of bandwidth+4 sticks of ram+ PCIE4 NVME drive. So faster PCIE may cause stable ram to become unstable on some motherboards. (adjust and research as needed when upgrading, just be aware). I am running at 2465 for my standard clocks again and this card is an absolute stunner.
Pros: Powerful, overclocks decently well, doesn't get as hot as similar tiers of GPUs.
Cons: Very loud when the fans kick in. Better get some decent IEMs or closed headphones. If it wasn't for this market bubble, this card's MSRP price is unreasonable compared to NVidia GPUs.
Overall Review: If you've got the money to spend and a mind for building a quality PC, this GPU is a great option.
Pros: Rips through games like no one's business. I'm running 1440p and this card keeps it running at 144hz almost all the time. It's also very quiet and temps are low.
Cons: Sort of a con -- it's *huge*. It effectively takes up 3 slots, and between the back plate and my air cooler it's difficult to reach the PCI slot release latch if I need to take it out -- and because it's 3 slots, I've had to take it out when I had to reset the CMOS (unrelated issue).
Overall Review: --
Pros: Good upgrade from a 1080ti
Cons: Prices right now
Overall Review: All I do is game so that's all I can speak on but this card handles everything I throw at it at 1440p. This is the first air cooled card I've bought in a long time so the fan noise and seeing temps in the 70s and 80s is taking some getting used to but it's my case not the card's fault. When I take the side panel off it drops back down to 50-60 during gaming. Overall I'm very happy with the card.
Pros: High FPS Low temps with default cooler (even junction temps), even lower temps with EK Vector heat sink Robust design (sturdy, very little sag, high heat sink fin area)
Cons: Coil whine is significant in high FPS situations and menu Unoptimized for some games; drivers are slowly improving (e.g., just resolved Mechwarrior 5 artifact issue after a long delay) Very high cost with respect to launch MSRP (nearly double!)
Overall Review: I purchased this card after being unable to find the 3080 at reasonable cost over the last 9 months. Thus far, I'm very happy with my purchase, and the performance of my system has more than doubled from my previously installed watercooled 1080.
Pros: Beast of a GPU. Maintain high settings on CoD Warzone with frame rate averaging 130fps.
Cons: Have to be lucky enough to be selected to buy it from Newegg Shuffle.Gets hot, need a lot of airflow for 144 2k gamingHeavy card, definitely need to support it with GPU holder if it isn't vertically mounted
Overall Review: A beast of a GPU for 4k gaming
Pros: when it works, its pretty good.
Cons: it doesn't work properly out the box crashes, blackscreen - hardlocks PC (not bsod)
Overall Review: I spent a ton buying new ram, a new SSD, 2 new PSUs, even tried it on a different computer with a different CPU/MB still crashes with default settings. You have to go into the Radeon software and limit your top end clocks to around 2200-2300. Otherwise my card would hardfreeze - blackscreen. I had to hold the power button to shut it down. A 2060S and a 3080 works perfectly fine in this rig. PSUs were a Seasonic PX-850, and a EVGA Supernova 1300 P+. Fresh windows install, you name it -- I've tried it. Sending it in for an RMA. Asus makes you pay for the shipping to them for their broken card btw.
Pros: Superb cooling with a larger, beefier version of the 3080 cooler Ultra quiet Fassssst
Cons: none
Overall Review: It's the best air cooled 6800 xt, since Asus made the Strix into a liquid-cooled monster, this might as well be the Strix air cooled. Asus priced it accordingly above the 3080 Strix OC too, if that catches your eye.
Love this card!
