Pros: - Handles just about anything! Great scores on 3DMark, ridiculously solid FPS in high end games running ultra performance 1080p (Horizon: Zero Dawn=90-130, Cyberpunk=70-110) - From reviews, seems to handle 1440p and 4k quite well too, which will be my upgrade plan next year (monitors) - Heat handles great stock (Corsair 4000D Airflow with 3x intake fans, GPU idles 35C, ultra settings Cyberpunk or 3dMark maxes around 65-70C), and even better if you are comfortable working with custom fan curves - Price vs Performance value for this particular card is strangely better than a lot of other 3080 cards, especially now as prices are slightly coming down after so long - Much more elegant looking of a card than just about anything else on the market, fits aesthetic builds nicely, not too "gamer-y" chunky plastic textures compared to the rest
Cons: - HEAVY! If you horizontal mount as is standard, I highly suggest a GPU support bracket (saves you from future pcie slot connectivity issues, or warped PCBs) - LARGE! Very long card, make sure you check physical dimensions and that your case can handle the length, DO NOT CHOKE OUT THE CARD BY INSTALLING THE FAN-SIDE TOO CLOSE TO ANY SURFACE! (this card needs proper ventilation)
Overall Review: Basically, the card is a fantastic 3080 that handles just like the rest of the, however, from what reviews/comparisons I have seen, it runs a tad cooler than many others purely due to its physical cooler size. The HEAVY and LARGE cons are somewhat outweighed by the fact that that basically pertains to ALL serious top end GPUs these days. If you are in the market for an air cooled 3080, and you do not want to pay the premiums for the Ti, this one is one of the best, especially since it is for SOME reason that I cannot figure out, cheaper than a lot of the other 3080 cards on the market. Gigabyte has aimed the "vision" product line at content creators, so the nice bonus of this card is the engineering that went into it is aimed at efficient heat , fast data rates, and proven reliable workloads, for simultaneous multi-job requirements like streaming, gaming and/or rendering, etc. Even though it is still considered expensive vs MSRP, if you are remotely in the arena to buy a 3080, I highly suggest this particular one!
Pros: Paid a zillion bucks for this thing, it works great so far - I expect it to. What I really wanted to rate was the seller (E-CONNECT). It was shipped from Shenzhen China where there there was a COVID lock-down preventing them from working the order. They took the trouble to email me about the situation (even offering to cancel) and sent a follow-up when things were moving again - I got the card shortly thereafter. I fully expect purchases like this to be fulfilled with a bare minimum of effort, with no active communication at all and to be treated like a war-criminal if I try to make inquiries. This experience was the exact opposite - A+ for these guys. I'm not in the market for buying stuff like this more that once every few years, but if I was, I'd be repeat business. Regarding the product itself - I'm into flight sims and it works great so far. It replaced a six year old GTX 1070 (which I can sell for as much as I paid for it in 2016 - crazy), so compared to that it's a baller.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: - Excellent seller - I don't have a mess of different RTX3080 cards to compare it to. But this one renders MSFS 2020 at 4K with bananas settings, which is what I wanted.
Pros: Powerful, quiet, and more the adequate cooling.
Cons: Big and heavy but that is to be expected for a high end GPU
Overall Review: Upgraded from a Zotac Twin Edge 3060ti to this for 4k gaming and high 1440p on my 55 C1. Everything preforms as expected and she is almost silent especially compared to the Zotac. Gigabyte did a great job on this one.
Pros: -it's a 3080 -it's white and silver and looks absolutely amazing -it's a 3080
Cons: -the weird maroon/extremely warm toned purple plate was an extremely weird design choice. On the plus side, when it's in your case and you have all your lights on (depending on your build) it's mostly drowned out/hidden
Overall Review: It's a 3080.
Overall Review: Great card, runs cool and not too loud! So happy
Pros: The only thing I didnt expect from this card is how ridiculously cool it runs. Runs perfectly and is very quiet.
Cons: A little big. RGB is very understated (for some a good thing) also the purple stripe may bother some may have been better to go with black or whit or somewhere in between.
Overall Review: If I could pick any 3080 out there I would get this one again. Very satisfied with the look and performance.
Overall Review: I'm super happy with this card. I've been playing Elden Ring at max settings and the card handles it easily and quietly. One thing to consider is that this card is quite big and heavy. Make sure it fits in your build before you buy, and also consider investing in a gpu support brace so that the weight isn't all being held by the pci port. I'm also happy that the crypto goblins had their market crash so we can all finally buy gpus at more reasonable prices again.
Pros: -Amazing performance runs any game no matter the settings/resolution -Runs surprisingly cool -Not too loud -Looks absolutely beautiful best looking 3080 ive ever seen
Cons: -Pretty big card make sure you have the space for it -Price is obviously high
Overall Review: If you want a top tier GPU the 3080 is the best bet I would say great performance and cheaper than the 3080ti, 3090 and its ti without the massive power draw. This version is visually stunning quiet and an absolute monster of a GPU its a huge upgrade from my old 1080 and if you can afford the large price id say go for it.
Huge card full of power
