Pros: Great performance. No complaints with how the card performs.
Cons: Of course the price kinda sucks but I gotta say, the software for the RGB is the worst I have ever seen! The card is HUGE, like wow! I put this in a Lian Li 011d case thinking it's gonna fit no problem. I was wrong. The card hung out of the case by a 1/2 inch, so I wasn't able to put the side glass on. I had to order the Vertical GPU Bracket KIT. So on top of the high price of the card I needed to drop about another 100 bucks for a vertical GPU mount. It's 2023 shouldn't we have the technology to make things smaller? I mean everything else seems to be shrinking but GPU's are getting bigger and bigger!
Overall Review: Does the job and does it well.
Pros: UPDATE 12/12/2022: The card began heavy artifacting. I saw some flickering in games on Day 1, but I attributed this to the game itself. On Day 5, it looks like trees are partially disappearing, and it looks like the screen has water running all over it. Card began to die 5 days after the purchase :-( This is definitely unfortunate, for creme of the crop RTX 4080 by Gigabyte. This is Gigabyte's best card by the way. It had almost zero coil whine, and very powerful phase/power delivery. Something wrong with the silicon itself. I thought maybe it was the new NVIDIA drivers released on 12/8/2022, so I reverted back to original drivers, same issue. Happens during desktop use as well. I was very satisfied with the way the card has performed in games, but having issues on Day 1, and unable to game or work on Day 5 is why I decided to update my review. I would keep the good review, if the card was not defective, but quality control is either missing, or did not do thorough job on this card. I did NOT overclock, or change any settings on the card. ________________ Original review: 1. Amazing cooling 2. Barely any coil whine 3. Stock overclock 4. Fans can be easily set to 50% and it will stay below 65C while gaming (at least in my case) 5. 4 year Gigabyte warranty, I had pretty good support from Gigabyte RMAs so far, and I hope they continue with effortless RMAs in the future. 6. Very cute Aorus Chibi, that grows when you game. It's so cute. 7. You can select custom gif, or custom static image, be that with temps above it, or select from available animations. You can literally meme your gpu with some funny or cute animation. Or make it serious, with a serious picture or custom design. I was never a fan of these LCDs, but this Chibi is so cute, especially when he is drinking his drink and sleeping. :-)
Cons: 1. it is HUMONGOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! will NOT fit most cases. Check clearances. Cable is literally touching the glass on my Lian Li Dynamic Evo. I made sure cables are not too bent, and gently taper off below my card. Considering I have big CPU air cooler above. 2. Support Bracket sucks, it doesn't hold the card up horizontally, it will sag with it as well. I managed to use Accelero Xtreme IV gpu holder, but I flipped it vertical, the gpu bracket to Accelero Xtreme IV's one. It looks like an antenna now. I can live with it. If you are creative, you can figure out a way. 3. Cannot use horizontal gpu mounts from other companies, if you route x3 8 pin cable running below. This card will be a deal breaker for many in a limited size or mid case, and my case is supposed to be full tower. Cables are touching the glass, if you have smaller clearance, you will bend your cables bad.
Overall Review: Absolutely would recommend, but not for an average case.
Pros: More memory, much faster then the 3080. The fans work great at cooling the gpu never above 75 C when gaming (without overclocking) great price at retail. The lighting and lcd are super cool. Also the drivers work with every game Ive played.
Cons: Massive and heavy but all 4080s tend to be super big so just make sure your case is big enough. The lighting software sadly does not work, not being able to detect the gpu. The mounts can be a little hard to get one and screwing it in was hard due to the share size making it super tight.
Overall Review: This is a good 4080 if you can get it at retail price itd say its worth the 150$ extra for better cooling and overclocking and all the cool lighting features
Pros: Cooling, performance, RT performance, super ultrawide performance
Cons: It's just huge man. But i get why
Overall Review: This card is fast. At 5120x1440, ultra settings on Borderlands 3, i'm getting 144.7 fps. Compare that to the 3080 Ti Xtreme at 88.1 fps. Ray tracing runs great. Massive performance boost in Cyberpunk. Great cooling performance. Getting high 60's to mid 70's on load.
Pros: - Fast, really fast - RTX in high framerates - Pretty with a screen - Excellent cooling system - Overclocking capabilities
Cons: - BIG and heavy - No USB-C display ports - Bad RGB adjustments in app
Overall Review: Stunning graphics at high framerates and high resolutions. You can play 4k RTX at >60 FPS. The only real bad thing about this would be the weight and size of the GPU. Otherwise, it's great for high-end builds.
Overall Review: Would recommend to everyone
Pros: Very powerful compared to my gigabyte 3060
Cons: Really big, and the support bracket it comes with sucks, had to unplug my 3.0 case cable to get it seated which sucks
Overall Review: Beast of a card, wish the support brackets was different.
Pros: -Runs quiet and cool. Card has never exceeded 66c, even after 3 hours of Cyberpunk RT Ultra gameplay. -Probably the best looking 4080 on the market -LCD Screen is cool -Power connector is recessed to allow for better case compatibility -Boosted to 2885Mhz out of the box -My card overclocked well. +90mhz on core (3000Mhz stable), +1750Mhz on memory -Software is easy to use, but not great (see Cons) -Included support bracket mounts to the case/motherboard. Card does not sag at all and it looks a lot cleaner than a support stand like most other cards use.
Cons: -Massive! Probably the biggest RTX 4080 on the market -Software is a bit janky and settings don't always apply at startup -Will not fit in a lot of popular mid-tower ATX cases (Fits in Corsair 4000D/5000D) -Default fan curves are set a bit high and manual curve won't allow below 1400RPM (63%) fan speed. Still runs fairly quiet tho. -Lights on fans turn off when fans stop -LCD Screen isn't very bright ... And of course, the Price is insane but I suppose that's just the new normal now.
Overall Review: This card is an absolute TANK, both in terms of size and performance. It runs quiet and cool with excellent performance out of the box. The RGB fans look amazing and I love being able to monitor the GPU temp, fans, usage, fps and RAM on the built-in LCD Screen. I love the look and performance of this card. If you can afford it, I absolutely recommend buying this. Just make sure your case is compatible because this card is absolutely massive in size. Length, width and thickness alike. I docked it ONE egg because of the price. Other than that, this card is excellent.
Pros: 30% higher fps for 1440p gaming.
Cons: there is coil wine when running max settings. the software for the rgb and lcd screen has bugs. not payable at 4k on black desert online.
Overall Review: overpriced
