Overall Review: When I decided I wanted a 4090 and committed to obtaining one with all the discord notifications etc, I started down the rabbit hole of researching which model to target. Coming from being an EVGA fanboy for the last 3 generations of NVIDIA GPUs, I had planned on transferring that loyalty to ASUS. While researching their various 4090 offerings, this GPU, the Gigabyte 4090 gaming OC, kept entering the conversation and I started to hear and use phrases like vapor chamber and lowest VRAM temps of all the models tested. When I got a discord notification that this model was available, I put my faith in all of the positive feedback from the YouTubers and was lucky enough to snag it before going out of stock in less than a minute. Now a few weeks later - Im here to tell you that I couldnt be happier with my decision. This card is a beast! It destroys everything I throw at it at 4k 120hz on my LG OLED at ultra/high settings, whatever. I think I honestly hear it laughing at me sometimes, hahaha, is that all you got? In wireless PCVR with Oculus Quest 2, I feel like I am seeing in VR for the very first time in comparison to my previous 3060ti. Its like having a new pair of eyes. 150% super sampling with all sliders to the right (yes, finally no more compromises) makes everything amazingly clear. I feel like I also have a brand new VR HMD. Temps? I game for hours and check HWINFO64 - max 64C and average 58C. Noise? Sometimes the fans arent even required to run under full load - if it wasnt for the laughing I mentioned, I would never hear it! Speeds? Boost clock is advertised as 2535MHz, but according to HWINFO64 - mine boosts up into the 2770s. Price? Yea its $100 more than founders, Windforce, and other brand lowest tier models, but with this model you actually get something for that money: one extra year on the warranty, RGB, and factory overclocking (even if it is modest). Warranty? As stated, even though this isnt technically an Aorus product, the warranty is still redeemed on the Aorus site and does qualify for 4 full years. I didnt hesitate registering after 5 minutes of seeing what it could do. Get. This. Model. Thanks for reading. Enjoy!

Pros: If you didn't already know...it's big. Like really big. How much bigger will the next successive generation of video cards be? Any games that you want to play at high settings? Yep, it will play them with no issues. You want cutting edge tech? This is currently where its at (until the 4090ti). This card is heavy, and Gigabyte knows it. They provide you with a anti-sag bracket that attaches to your motherboard. Seems to work ok for me. Sag is minimal. I believe that Gigabyte also has the best length of warranty for 4090 cards. Lets hope I never have to use it though. If you are looking for ANY 4090, you can't go wrong with this one. My review won't skew you one way or another.

Cons: Because it is so big, here is what you will need to look out for: 1. PC Case. You will need to find a case that can fit this video card. If you are using a AIO cooler that is front mounted for your processor, just remember that it will take some of the space that might interfere with this video card. Also you will need to find a case that can fit the 12VHPWR cable and not smash it on the glass when closed. Currently I am using a Fractal POP Air XL and I do not have any issues. Or, you can also wait for manufacturers (CableMod) to build/sell 90/180° adapters to avoid the bend up against your case window. But again, another added cost to fix a problem that shouldn't have been there in the first place. 2. Power cable. You can use the squid arm cable that nvidia supplies with this video card...which is a nightmare. You can try to find an ATX 3.0 PSU that has a dedicated 12VHPWR cable. There aren't many on the market yet. But if you do, make sure you buy a ATX 3.0 PSU that is greater than 1000 watts or else it will not be able to supply 600 watts of power to the card, you'll only get a 300 watt rated cable. 3. RGB. Gigabyte put RGB on their fans. If you look at my pictures you can't really tell. When gaming you can tell that the fans are spinning and the RGB is on, but you can't see it...because the card will face down on 90% of PC builds out there. Some people hate the gimmicky design, others probably won't care because they won't be able to see it. Pro or con? You will have to be the judge. 4. Monitors. Since this is a high end video card...its best to pair it up with high refresh rate monitors to get the most performance from your system. Again another price factor to consider to get the most out of this card. 5. Overkill/PC Flexing. If you are running a 2080 Ti, or any RTX 3000 series than you most likely will be fine playing anything that's out there without any issues. 4090 is definitely way overkill by today's standards. 6. Price. DO NOT pay over MRSP for this card. I was fortunate enough to be able to buy one through Newegg on launch day for the listed $1699 price. If I didn't buy this 4090, I would have just bought a RTX 3090 Ti on nvidias website (they currently had stock when I was looking for a video card). Another overkill card for a much more tolerable cost. Also...be aware: Make sure whatever power cable you use that you push/plug it in ALL THE WAY IN. Because this is such a big card, it may cover connections you need on your motherboard. So be aware of the motherboard you are looking to pair this up with.

Overall Review: Can it handle anything you throw at it. Most likely. Is it expensive. Yes. Should you pair it up with expensive high refresh monitors. Yes. Is it a power hungry card? Sure is. Does it fit most cases with the power cable installed? Probably not. Is it overkill for most modern games? Currently yes. Do you really need it? Probably not. Can you justify this purchase...that's up to you and only you.

Pros: Runs cooler than my old 3080, is insanely powerful, Im CPU bottlenecked in most games I play at 1440p I love the design and the anti-sag bracket does a great job

Cons: I recommend buying a custom 16 pin adapter that plugs directly into your PSU, just much cleaner management My card did not come with any plastic peel on the card. I do not believe I was sold a new productF I believe it was refurbished and repackaged. Every unboxing video on YouTube shows a card that its plastic peel on either the fan side or the backplate, my card came with no peel at all

Overall Review: The card is amazing, but I dont think I was sold a new card. I believe it had been previously used, as the plastic peel was already removed from the card

Pros: Great performance and temps.

Cons: The lights on the fans are very dim.

Overall Review: Overall, it's a 4090, and I was able to get it at MSRP, so I can't complain.

Pros: Hilariously powerful VRAM? YES CUDA CORES? VERY YES MEMORY BANDWIDTH? ALL OF IT Has dinner ready for me by the time I'm home from work

Cons: Had to sell a chunk of my lung on the black market to afford it, but it's worth it.

Overall Review: First time actually splurging on the best of the best. Couldn't be more satisfied with the performance. Do yourself a favor and order a custom 12vhpwr cable from cablemods or buy a power supply that includes one. I got the MSI MPG A1000G PCIE5 1000W and it works perfectly. The nvidia adaptor isn't worth the anxiety of wondering if or when it will melt.

Pros: No coil whine. Runs cool. I went thru 7 4090 cards this one is by far the best card. The other brands I tried had terrible coil whine or other problems MSI/Asus. OC well and stable over 3ghz still no coil whine even when OC. Looks good and the support bracket works well. The fans are not too loud even under load. I have no complaints or problems with the Gaming OC. I even ran it in an open case for a few days to check sound levels from the card. Even on an open test bench this card would be fine.

Cons: None. Just don't use GCS Gigabyte control center. Use RGB fusion 2 for the RGB.

Overall Review: I would recommend the gaming OC. I would buy this again. To control the RGB on the card don't use GCS. Just down load RGB fusion 2 it works great. To OC use MSI afterburner or Evga precision GCS sucks for RGB control OC or setting up the fan curve.

Pros: - Faster than stock 4090, destroys any game with sliders maxxed at 4k. - Runs cool, did not see it get above 70c - Comes with decent mounting bracket - It recommends a 1000w PSU but you can use a high end 850w fine, i have a 7950x and total system usage does not go above 650w in game.

Cons: - It has a plastic fan shroud.... kind of inexcusable for a 1700$ card but whatever its does make it weigh less.

Overall Review: If you are on the fence about buying this particular model i say go for it.

Pros: Great performance, very quiet, fits nicely in my case

Pros: The best you can get at this moment in time. Lower memory temps than many other 4090's 4 year warranty

Cons: It's BIG, like all air cooled 4090's. Make sure your case has enough room. Expensive, like all 4090's

Overall Review: Until the 4090 ti or Titan comes out, this is the fastest GPU you can buy. Top tier GPU's are never cost effective, but anyone considering buying such a thing is probably aware of that. Despite what some think, this makes sense for someone with a 1440p monitor that wants to crank up all the ray tracing goodies and still get good frame rates. Overclocking really doesn't increase the framerates enough to justify the heat and noise, so just leave it at stock and enjoy.

Pros: - Silent. Fans don't even need to run at idle. - Never above 60 C - 4K, 100+ FPS

Cons: - Me: "Gigabyte software can't be that bad." It is. - The included GPU stand made it impossible to plug in my Chassis front I/O USB connector (Using B650E-E mobo). I could live without it, but I decided to invest in a secondary GPU support stand.

Overall Review: Unmatched performance. Exceptional cooling. Make sure to buy a case that will fit it.
