Pros: - 1299.99 was the cheapest 6900xt option I've seen since the start of the GPU craze. Delivered 02/24/2022 so GPU prices appear to be dropping. - price point was $300 above 6900XT MSRP. the 1080ti was $1570 vs. $1299 and honestly with two NVENC cards @ home I figured i'd rather buy the 6900XT now and later once nvidia prices drop further I may pickup a 3050 or reasonably priced 3060 and drop that into the additional pcie slot or into a separate streaming computer and still be @ the cost of a 3080TI. - newegg & gigabyte - thanks for being reasonable on this specific card pricing. i've been trolling the website literally daily when I wanted to buy the ASROCK OCF but the lowest it dropped during BF was $1450. had the OCF been @ $1450 vs. this one @ 1300 I may have possibly picked up the OCF with XTXH Navi 21 chip, however, this card was priced at a point where I won't feel like a complete t u r d when I upgrade again in a few years. - food for thought. i was able to snag a 6900XT XFX from BestGuy 11/13/2021 @ $1689+tax and this one was $1299+tax. I returned the one from Best Buy within the 14 day period because i couldn't swallow the $1850+ cost so saving over $400 for waiting a few months was well worth the wait. - i prefer purchasing from gigabyte. i live in southern california at a reasonable distance from gigabyte's rma center in City of Industry. the great thing about being so close is you may simply drive to the center and drop off your warrantied hardware directly in the hands of a gigabyte employee and not have to pay for shipping and insurance on an expensive card. this alone sways me to purchase gigabyte products.
Cons: - i attempted to install the updated firmware FWUpgrade_GV_R69XTGAMING_OC_16GD.zip but nothing happens. maybe a gigabyte rep can help me? - none i've really found so far i'll update once i've owned it for more than 24 hours.
Overall Review: I've only played overwatch with the card but I was playing on a GTX 1080 all low settings 1440p. with the 6900xt and radeon driver installed with SAM / REBAR enabled in bios (x570/3900x/hx1200) overwatch auto changed all settings to 120% resolution @ Ultra settings. I'm using a 27" Dell Gsync monitor with this and last night once installed was an absolutely amazing experience. Much better than the experience with both a gtx1080/gtx1080ti. I unfortunately panic sold a gtx1080ti for $300 like a bonehead and have been waiting for GPU prices to drop. Oh well $1300 on this card was definitely an easier pill to swallow.
Pros: Nothing much to say. It rocks on my 2k ultrawide monitor.
Overall Review: Funny Story...well funny to me anyway. At first I thought the card was load. A fan kept ramping up. Turned out my EVGA T2 1000 was in eco mode(fan wasn't spinning) so every time I needed a boost of power the fan would try to take off to the moon. Well I took eco mode off and everything was quiet again. Rock solid power supply have had it many years. -In conclusion, the card runs quiet, and is oh so powerful. Oh ya it pulls about 270w at load. while playing FO76 max settings. The pic is in a warm room. Temps are within spec.
Pros: - Its an absolute monster! Can play titles at 4k Ultra settings and get well over 60 fps. It also can do 1440p 144hz and 1440p 240hz on less demanding titles. - Supports FSR and ray tracing - Looks great! I love the silver and gunmetal color scheme on this card. The backplate design looks pretty nice as well. It also has some nice looking rgb on the side gigabyte logo
Cons: - The card can get a bit toasty. Mine idles at over 40 degrees and can go above 70 degrees under heavy load. - My card also has a noticeable bit of coil whine. It's not that annoying or anything but it is noticeable if your headset isn't on.
Overall Review: Overall the card performs like an absolute unit against anything I throw at it. If you really care about coil whine and thermals than you could explore the possibility of purchasing a more stable 6900xt with a higher end cooler.
Pros: It came in next day, great packaging. Popped this puppy in and instantly went to 4K, unexpectedly large GPU coming from a 6600xt. I really can see the difference in every game. Some older stuff like LoL I cant even play its just too small, switched to 1440p and boom perfect.
Cons: I dont have any complaints Im super happy
Overall Review: 10/10 would recommend Even some light ray tracing in some games. I use this to game and run my D&D stream and its tanking it paired with my 5800x3d. Dont hesitate unlock your 4K gaming experience I cant go back
Pros: -Quiet/Strong Cooling -Simple design/look -Easy to fit in most cases -Runs software very well, both games and most work programs that I've used -Amazing for 1440p/1080p gaming, runs 4k really well too.
Cons: -Gigabyte's Aorus Engine seems to cause issues with Radeon's software which may cause wattman errors, however, RGB Fusion seems to not conflict with anything so far. Do not worry if you see this. Uninstall Aorus then check for critical Windows updates and update (or roll back) any drivers you may need. -Ray tracing performance seems pretty solid at native 1440p/1080p, but native 4k RT leaves a lot to be desired from AMD in most titles and even some work programs...
Overall Review: Great GPU for those it works for. It does everything I need it to and more. Pairs well with the 5900x. First AMD products ever used in a personal build in a decade of building PC's and I'm 100% impressed so far.
Pros: Lots of VRAM for the price, which was why I bought it.
Cons: Will suddenly stop sending video to the monitor, and computer stops responding. There's nothing of use written to logs making it impossible to troubleshoot. Card wasn't overheating and different drivers and reformatting didn't help, which points to the hardware itself being flawed. Eventually got tired of trying to fix it and RMA'ed the card. Really disappointed because I spent six months waiting for this card to become available.
Overall Review: Sadly, I could never tell if it was a one-off bad card or if there's truly a problem with Gigabyte's design of this card. I've bought Gigabyte products in the past and they tend to be good, so I don't think this would discourage me from buying from them again in the future.
Pros: A BEASTTTTT OF A CARDDDDDDDDDD
Overall Review: its just good havent had any problems
Pros: Looks great
Cons: Not sure it was a new card. There was no plastic to remove and had some scuffs on it also now my games randomly freeze for a few seconds or just crash
Overall Review: It's ok for the price
Overall Review: Seems like it does its actual job fine. 2 issues though, one being the led lights by the 8 pins are supposed to turn off if all is good. At first 2 of them stayed on. And on a firmware update of the card, now all 3 stay on. 2nd is that the RGB of the card doesn't work, and gigabytes rgb fusion software does not even detect that there is a gpu, nor does any other software. Obviously rma is an option, but the process in my opinion is unacceptable. I can't afford to not have my gpu in my pc while it's sent in to be looked at and fixed. Often times companies try and make you pay for shipping as well for THEIR defective product. Not right or okay. The clear solution of what SHOULD happen in these scenarios is if a company has a defective product, it should be completely on them and not inconvenience the consumer in any way. Send a replacement out, once customer receives replacement, they send back the defective unit with a prepaid shipping label included from the manufacturer. Then they can fix and sell it as refurbished or however they see fit. That is how it should be. So to summarize, card will maybe be okay for you? But If not, don't expect any stellar solution or customer service.
Awesome card!
